Rise Up & Walk is a not-for-profit CBO on the move and recognized for providing educational and recreational programs for youth. Organized in 1998 and Incorporated in 2003, Rise Up & Walk is a partnership with parents and has received funding from The NYC Department of Education, Department of Juvenile Justice, Office of Children and Family Services, Administration for Children Services, Councilman Albert Vann, NYC Department for the Aging, Department of Youth and Community Development, Foundations, Private and the Public sectors.
Rise Up & Walk provides educational and recreational programs for youth, K-12 that promotes academic achievement, positive social development, spiritual awareness and community service.
These services are offered primarily in Brooklyn attracting youth from each of the surrounding boroughs. We offer students an opportunity to enjoy the process of learning and the benefits. In addition, concerned citizens looking to make a difference have an opportunity to give of their time, share knowledge and create short and long-term relationships.
Students in the ASEP program participate in:
